Let me guess where you are right now? You’re working and hustling harder than ever before, you’re working longer hours, yet you’re feeling like you’re stuck in the same spot, spinning your wheels without seeing any real progress or better results?

We’ve all been there.

The key to breaking free from this endless cycle isn’t more hustle; it’s engaging with smarter strategies. If you’re tired of the busy-work that fills your day but gets you nowhere, and gives you zero results, it’s time to focus on what really moves the needle.

Here’s how I like to push forward when I’m feeling extra stuck. I love to use these practical tips to boost my productivity and they will also help you achieve more in less time.

Prioritise what really matters

It’s important to focus on tasks that move the needle, not just fill the time. Not sure how to identify those tasks? Define what your main goals are. The clearer your goals, the easier it is to identify which tasks directly contribute to them to get better results overall. Some questions to ask yourself might be:

  • Do I want to increase my revenue?
  • Do I want to grow my following on (specific) social media account?
  • Do I want to gain more visibility?

Say no to unnecessary work

You don’t have to do it all or be everywhere at once. Start delegating or letting go of tasks that aren’t benefiting you or your business. If necessary, consider hiring a virtual assistant to take on the tasks you don’t enjoy, allowing you to concentrate on the aspects of your business that energise you and lead to greater success, increased productivity, and stronger outcomes.

Batch your tasks

Group similar tasks together to save time and mental energy. For example, dedicate a specific day or block some time to writing multiple posts at once. You can focus fully on the task, and it helps you get into a creative flow.

If you need to create videos for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or your course, batch record several videos in one session. You’ve already set up the camera, lighting, and mindset — why not maximise that time?

Use templates or frameworks

Don’t start from scratch; use what’s already proven to work. I love to use Canva to create templates for each of my social media platforms, to create headers for Medium stories and also to create my ebook covers.

Also, create a standard client proposal template that outlines your services, pricing, and timelines. When you receive a new enquiry, you will have this template ready to go.

Set clear boundaries

Protect your time and energy by saying no to distractions. It’s important to set clear work hours and stick to them. Don’t accept calls or respond to emails from customers or clients after these hours.

Set specific times for breaks throughout your day (e.g., lunch from 12–1 PM) and don’t let work creep into those breaks. Avoid all tech during this time.

Clear Boundaries = Better Results

Focus on progress, not perfection

Many content creators suffer from the perfectionist syndrome. But, keep in mind that small, consistent steps lead to big results over time. Keep moving forward, step by step. Stop stressing about that social media post and just hit publish!

Automate repetitive tasks

Free up time by letting technology do the repetitive work. Schedule your social posts in a platform such as Buffer, Tailwind or (my fave) Metricool. Set up an automatic response for new direct messages on platforms like Facebook or Instagram, or within my favourite platform – Manychat.

You can even automate your pins on Pinterest.

Take regular breaks

Avoid burnout by resting before you need it. Schedule time away from the computer or from all devices, especially when having lunch or a coffee break. Kick off your shoes and go barefoot in your backyard.

Set a timer to go off every hour and enjoy a 5 minute stretch session. Ensure all of your breaks are tech-free.
